"Since we are in the service business too, something we try to remember is that when a business relationship is going along with no 'bumps in the road' it's easy for both parties to take it for granted - but when some issue arises (technical problem, failure to communicate, etc) there is the possibility that either 1) the relationship will suffer or fail, or 2) the relationship will become even stronger due to the trust that is built as we work together with our client to resolve the issue.
