The Universal Clamp is intended for spinal reconstructive surgery, incorporated into constructs for the purpose of correcting spinal deformities such as kyphosis, scoliosis (including  idiopathic, congenital, neuromuscular and degenerative scoliosis) and other deformities.
In extreme cases (i.e., obesity and/or excessive kyphosis and/or muscular weakness) the construct extremities can be reinforced by using several Universal Clamps or by adding pedicle-lamina clamps.
